• John Beilein got blood out of a stone with this team. The combo of injuries and gimpy players made this season a challenge. Twenty-two wins and a NCAA berth is a hell of a coaching job. pickles24 • I agree with the blood out of the stone comment. There is lots of mediocre tal- ent/recruiting, still elite coaching. No pros played for us while Caris LeVert was out. You need pros to win big nowadays. Hence my call for higher-end recruits. It starts with not settling for a marginal backup point guard in 2017. Think a top- 40 kid is scared of Xavier Simpson? I don't. One point guard on the team. Don't SETTLE! Cullen333 • Exactly why you can't go off the deep end before Selection Sunday — you've got to let things play out. The team was frustrating lots of times, but given the person- nel situation — we overachieved.   FROM OUR READERS John Beilein's squad went 22-12 on the season, earning Michigan's sixth NCAA Tournament bid in the coach's nine years at the helm.
