MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD The Wolverines placed fourth in the Big Ten Indoor Championships March 11-12 in Geneva, Ohio … Michigan took home two first-place finishes from Ohio — fifth-year senior Mason Ferlic won the 5,000 meters with a personal-best time of 13:50.81 and senior Steven Bastien claimed the title in the heptathlon with a program-record 5,801 points in the event … Bastien totaled even more points (5,810) en route to his second straight All-America honor with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA meet … The Wolverines' distance medley relay team also earned All-America laurels with an eighth-place showing … U-M will begin the outdoor season March 25-26 at the Pac-12 vs. Big Ten Challenge in Tempe, Ariz. Senior Steven Bastien won the Big Ten title in the heptathlon with a program‑record 5,801 points and earned his second straight All‑America honor at the NCAA meet, breaking his school record from Big Tens and placing eighth.
