"It hasn't completely hit me yet, but it's starting to now. "It's a good feeling just knowing that all the hard work and all the hours on the court have paid off. This year being my last, hopefully it'll be my best yet." With Yurovsky's career at U‑M winding down Bernstein is using that as motivation for the entire team. "She's an unbelievable kid and not just the tennis piece," Bernstein said. "We're definitely going to miss her, and I want us to keep playing for her because she's meant a lot to the program. "She has done a great job stepping into that leadership role this year and it's a big part of why we've been successful." BASEBALL (34-12 OVERALL, 12-5 BIG TEN) As of May 9, Michigan was ranked No. 19 in the National Collegiate Base- ball Writers' poll and tied for second in the Big Ten standings with a con- ference record of 12-5 … Sophomore infielder Jake Bivens, senior outfielder Cody Bruder, junior catcher Harrison Wenson, junior utility man Carmen Benedetti and senior outfielder Matt Ramsay have started all 46 games this season … Bivens led the team with a .382 batting average, good enough for fourth in the Big Ten at the end of the regular season … Sophomore right- hander Ryan Nutof carried a 2.09 ERA, which ranked third in the Big Ten … Ju- nior lefty Brett Adcock led the pitching staff with 78 strikeouts, which was third in the conference. WOMEN'S GOLF The Wolverines had a pair of all- conference honorees for the first time since 2005 … Junior Grace Choi was named first-team All-Big Ten, while se- nior Catherine Peters was listed on the second team … Choi became the first golfer in program history to finish un- der par at the Big Ten Championships with a 1-under 215 … As a team, U-M S e n i o r G r a c e C h o i b e c a m e t h e f i r s t Michigan women's golfer to earn first-team all-conference laurels since 2010.
