Martini visited South Bend once this winter and attended the school's summer camp in late June. When he returned from camp he decided that he had seen all he needed to make an early decision. "I came back home and talked to my parents, and we couldn't think of a bet- ter place to be than Notre Dame," Martini told 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong. "With the combination of academics and athletics, I figured I should commit now. My heart is set on it." Woodberry Forest head coach Clinton Martini, a product of Woodberry Forest School in Virginia, had eight takeaways on defense and returned three of them for scores on his way to all-state honors as a sophomore.
