Immokalee (Fla.) High hasn't said much about his recruitment since going back on his commitment to Tennessee early in the process, but that hasn't stopped his search for a new home the second time around. The four-star target took a visit to Notre Dame in mid-June for an unusual five-day stay, and the experience of the trip broke his silence — somewhat. "I didn't go anywhere of that ," the 5-10, 175-pound player candidly reported while awaiting his flight back to the Sunshine State. "I'm more low key, and I don't like to talk about myself or the process much. I'm going to stay humble and just keep work- ing hard. "But it was a good visit. It was my first out-of-state visit, and I chose to make that one to Notre Dame for a reason. I don't travel a lot, so that shows how important it was for me to get up there." Alexander, who compiled 50 tackles in his junior campaign, also wrestles and runs track for his high school. He ranks 11th in the state in his weight class and clocked in with a 10.8 in the 100-meter dash. "I may be coming back up there soon actually." Other pledges like of- Jaylon Smith of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and quar- terback Malik Zaire of Dayton, Ohio, were all on campus as well, and getting an op- portunity to hang around members of the 2013 recruiting class left a strong impres- sion on Alexander. "I enjoyed being around all the commits fensive tackle Hunter Bivin of Owensboro, Ky.; cornerback Rashad Kinlaw of Absecon, N.J.; defensive end Jacob Matuska of Columbus, Ohio; outside linebacker up there and meeting the current players, too," he said. After ending his recruitment once al- ready, the nation's No. 4 cornerback, No. 7 prospect in Florida and the No. 27 overall recruit in the country is keeping the option available to do so again soon. "I might go ahead and make a decision before my season," Alexander shared. "If I haven't, then I'll probably wait until the [U.S.] Army All-American Bowl [in San An- tonio Jan. 5]."
