Guy returned better than ever after this
spring. After her aforementioned school-
record leap, she cleared 14-7¼ to claim the
first ACC women's pole vault championship
in school history.
Because Guy will be a graduate student
during the 2018-19 season, she might not
have reached her ceiling yet.
"Over the last four years, I've learned not
to put any limitations on her ability," Wilson
said. "She has more than enough speed to
vault as high as she can see herself vault-
ing. If she were to become a 15-foot pole
vaulter, that would be amazing.
"She's evolved and taken her competi-
tive game to another level. If she maintains
this level of consistency she can vault even
higher."
In May, Guy leaped 14-7¼ to claim the first ACC women's pole vault title in school history.
