28 CAVALIER CORNER The 2018 Virginia Athletics Foundation's Spring Social Tour included 12 stops throughout the state of Virginia and North Carolina. Over 2,100 VAF members, UVA alumni and fans had the opportunity to mingle with UVA head and assistant coaches and current student-athletes. Record-break - ing crowds with enthusiastic supporters helped create incredible atmospheres for our special guests to share their stories and program updates. The Voice of the Cavaliers, Dave Koehn, emceed this year's tour which featured Carla Williams, new director of athletics, Tony Bennett, head men's basketball coach, Bronco Mendenhall, head football coach, and several notable assistant coaches and student-athletes.
