Notre Dame men's basketball coach Mike Brey and the Fighting Irish leprechaun joined Atlantic Coast Conference commissioner John Swofford and
the rest of the league's mascots in New York City for an official welcome
party July 1. Notre Dame, Syracuse and Pittsburgh became official members
of the ACC in July, boosting the conference to 14 teams with Louisville joining the ranks next season. The group toured Wall Street, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building to get used to its new East Coast home.
