ichigan trotted to the half-
time locker room at Lucas
Oil Stadium in Indianapo-
lis, its Big Ten title efforts
hanging in the balance. The Wolverines
led by a mere point, clinging to a 14-13
lead over upset-minded Purdue.
For some, that might have consti-
tuted an intestinal crisis. For those who
watched Jim Harbaugh's team closely all
season, not so much.
Michigan did what it does, crushing
the Boilermakers' hopes in the second
half and securing a 43-22 victory — and
with it, a second straight Big Ten title.
The Wolverines nailed down a 13-0 re-
cord, the most victories ever by a Mich-

half to catapult Michigan to a 43-22
victory against Purdue. He finished
with 25 carries for 185 yards and a
touchdown, and was named MVP
of the Big Ten Championship game.
