"This is the inaugural year. Venus works at the dome, and she was finally able to convince them that our area needed some type of program. There are a lot of travel programs, but we wanted some type of developmental program we can train kids to compete athletically, plus get them to the right colleges that are a fit for them." Next up for Findlay — probably a high school teaching and coaching job, though motherhood will come first. She remains passionate about the sport and is ready to mold those who share her enthusiasm for it. Though some questioned whether she could win at the highest level at Michigan, she never had a doubt. Five years after graduation, she's still remembered for the biggest hit in Michigan softball history, but more than willing to share the credit with her teammates and coaches.
