XXXI MVP after returning a kick 99 yards for a touchdown in Green Bay's 35-21 win over New England. • Ty Law, CB: Law left after 1994 despite the insistence by some that he could benefit from another year at Michigan. He proved he was ready when the New England Patriots made him their first pick (No. 23 overall) of the first round, and he went on to become a five-time Pro Bowler, a two-time All-Pro and a three-time Super Bowl champion. He still ranks 22nd all time with 53 career interceptions. • Charles Woodson, CB: It was a foregone conclusion Woodson would leave after winning the Heisman and leading the Wolverines to the 1997 national title. He was projected as a high first-round pick and went No. 4 overall to the Oakland Raiders. Woodson is an eight-time Pro Bowler and seven-time All-Pro and was the 2009 Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He signed a one-year deal to play in Oakland this year. • Mario Manningham, WR: Manningham left after his junior year in 2007 when head coach Rich Rodriguez took the reins, going to the New York Giants in the third round. He's won a Super Bowl and has racked up 2,764 receiving yards. He's now with the San Francisco 49ers recovering from a serious knee injury. — Chris Balas photo by per kjeldsen
