michigan recruiting Next For 2015? The U-M coaches are off to a strong start in the 2015 class, with six com‑ mitments in a group that currently has space for fewer than 13 prospects (though that number will certainly grow with natural attrition from the roster). In recruiting, however, the natural inclination is to look at what's next. The U-M class has a few possibilities. Pittsburgh Baldwin offensive lineman Sterling Jenkins A 6-8, 296-pounder, Jenkins has the massive size of a blindside tackle at the next level. He is high on Michigan and will visit for the Ohio State game Nov. 30. He will also visit Ohio State, Penn State and Pitt this fall before coming to a decision. Jenkins is rated as the No. 88 player and No. 7 offensive tackle in the country in the junior class by 247Sports. ESPN lists him as the No. 75 player in the class. Denmark National defensive tackle Hjalte Froholdt The 6-5, 275-pound Froholdt played his sophomore season of high school football at Warren Harding High School in Ohio, which has sent the likes of linebacker Prescott Burgess and wide re- ceiver Mario Manningham to Ann Arbor. Though he's across the pond in his native Denmark for his junior year, he plans to visit Michigan in October and move back to the United States for his senior season. Detroit Cass Tech running back Mike Weber The 5-11, 205-pounder racked up 2,100 yards and 25 touchdowns in an injury-shortened sophomore year, and although U-M has picked up Harris since offering him, Weber is a lifelong fan of Michigan. Weber, who is ranked as the No. 120 player and No. 15 running back in his class by 247Sports, plays for a traditional Michigan pipeline. Buffalo (N.Y.) Canisius Prep tight end/ defensive end Tyrone Wheatley Jr. Wheatley's famous name demonstrates his connections to Michigan. He's bigger than his father, the former Michigan running back, at 6-6 and 245 pounds. He has visited Michigan several times, and could make an impact on either offense or defense, depending on his preference. Wheatley Jr. is ranked as the No.  10 tight end in his class by 247Sports and as the No. 217 junior nationally by ESPN. ❏ The Wolverine Mobile Providing you the best coverage of Michigan Football, Basketball, Recruiting and Sports – on the go!
