THEY SAID IT Brian Kelly's Comments: "Kolin was a young man that we offered when he didn't have a lot of ac- tion, but we saw a young man that we thought we could develop into just an outstanding football player. First of all, we loved him as a person. Again, a right fit for Notre Dame. Character, high energy, 'Yes, sir. No, sir.' He had all those things that we re- ally liked. He was engaging. Really impressed our admissions people. He had all the things that we were looking for as well as somebody that we felt we could develop." Tom Lemming Of Prep Football Report: "Kolin came on real strong during his senior year. He's considered a second-tier guy, but he had a huge senior season. He runs better than I expected, and he's just a really good player. He tackles well and really hammers people. I think he's a sleeper that Notre Dame is really going to like." Samuel Clemens Head Coach Jared Johnson: "I've coached Kolin for two years, and he's a high-charac- ter kid off the field and he's very intense on the field. He carries himself very well, and he's going to be very successful in life, whether football works out or not. He's a great practice player, he has a great work ethic and it wouldn't surprise if he's up for being named captain when he's a senior at Notre Dame."
