goalkeeper in the class," Daley said. "We're excited about that." Louro, who is rated as the No. 10 overall player in the 2014 class by CollegeSoccerNews.com, is just one spot behind goalie Jefferson Caldwell, a Virginia signee who was rated as the No. 9 player in the class by the site. And Louro won't be overwhelmed by the jump to college soccer — he has plenty of experience playing elite‑level competition. After earning an invitation to the U.S. Under‑17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla., in 2012, Louro has had the opportunity to work with the Team USA staff as a member of the under‑18 team. He also played for the New York Red Bulls Academy, the club‑level team within the New York Red Bulls' MLS team organization, for three seasons and helped the squad win the Under‑16 Generation adidas MLS Cup in 2011. But Louro will have to earn his way onto the field next season. Goal‑ keeper Adam Grinwis, who has made 58 starts in the last three sea‑ sons (1.3 goals‑against average), will be back for his fifth‑year senior sea‑ son in 2014. "Evan is great," Daley said. "He has an excellent upside. Certainly, it will make it a competitive envi‑ ronment, because Adam, going into his sixth year, has been an excellent goalie for us since I have been here. Not only does Evan have great po‑ tential, but he has high professional aspirations, as do a lot of them com‑ ing in." 5. Evan White, men's swimming: When White competed at the Team Canada Swimming Trials April 2‑4 in Victoria, British Columbia, Michigan assistant coach Rick Bishop was on deck to watch first‑hand the Wol‑ verines' latest star recruit. Bishop was there to assist sophomore Marni Oldershaw of the Michigan wom‑ en's swim team, who was compet‑ ing in the trials and came from the same club team — Oakville Aquatic Club — that White swims for. White hails from Iroquois High School in Oakville, Ontario. Bishop saw White win the 200‑me‑ ter individual medley with a meet‑ record time of 1:59.84; take second in the 200‑meter breaststroke (2:15.40); take third in the 100‑meter butterfly (53.51); and take seventh place in the 100‑meter freestyle (50.83). After his stellar performance at the trials, White earned a spot on Team Canada to compete at the Com‑ monwealth Games July 23‑Aug. 3 in Glasgow, Scotland, and the Pan Pa‑ cific Championships Aug. 21‑24. "He and Marni are already good friends, because they have swam to‑ gether," Michigan coach Mike Bot‑ tom said. "Evan coming in, he will make a difference in the pool. And he already has friendships with some of our other Canadian swimmers, and that will help the camaraderie on both the men's and women's teams." White is the No. 11 overall swim‑ mer in the 2014 class according to CollegeSwimming.com. The website also ranked White as the No. 1 inter‑ national recruit in the class. "He is part of a class that is coming
