INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS years at Michigan and the interaction that I've had with great student-athletes that competed for our team on the court and in the classroom," Berque said in a release. "I wish everyone associated with Michigan athletics and the men's tennis program all the best in the future." The former celebrated Illinois assistant coach took over a program that had grown stale, finishing higher than fifth in the Big Ten only once from 1997-2004. U-M placed third in the conference in Berque's first year, in 2005, and would fin- ish runner-up in 2007, 2012 and 2013. The Wolverines qualified for the NCAA Tournament in each of Berque's final nine seasons, but made it to the Sweet 16 only once (2008). • Three year ago, Michigan wrestling pulled off a coup when it wrested Donny Pritzlaff away from Wisconsin to serve as an assistant coach for Joe McFarland. This spring, Rutgers snatched Pritzlaff away. "I believe that this is one of the best coaches in the country and a hire that can change the landscape of this wrestling program," Rutgers head coach Scott Goodale told NJ.com. "Donny has years of Big Ten experience as an athlete, coach and recruiter. He is regarded as one of the best recruiters in the country and will certainly make an impact immediately as we enter the Big Ten." Michigan has not named a replacement and has not commented on Pritzlaff's departure. EASY TRANSITION A seven-time NCAA individual champion and 17-time All-American, Sam Mi- kulak will work as an undergraduate assistant for the men's gymnastics team following the conclusion of his incredible Michigan career. Teammate Syque Caesar, himself a five-time All-American, will stay on as a program assistant. Mikulak will continue to work with head coach Kurt Golder in preparation for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. REWARDED Following superb athletic and academic careers, senior swimmer David Moore and senior track performer Kiley Tobel were awarded Big Ten Postgradu- ate Scholarships. A member of four Big Ten championship teams, Moore was a three-time Aca- demic All-Big Ten honoree in mechanical engineering. He is working towards his master's degree. A two-time captain for the women's track and field team, Tobel is the school record holder in the indoor (4.25 meters) and outdoor (4.25 meters) pole vault. She graduated from the College of LS&A with a degree in biopsychology, cogni- tion and neuroscience, earning Academic All-Big Ten honors three times.
