COMMITMENT PROFILE However, Harris decommitted in January, and Michigan's recruitment of Weber kicked into high gear with new offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier and quarterback commit- ment Alex Malzone (of Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice High School, also in Southeast Michigan) tag-teaming the No. 10 running back and No. 103 overall player nationally, and the state's top player ahead of fellow commitments Brian Cole and Mal- zone. "We went there, saw the practice, and I just felt it and did it right on the field," Weber explained. "They were really excited, especially Coach Nussmeier. [Running backs coach Fred] Jackson was also excited, and [head coach Brady] Hoke was excited also. "They've been on me really hard, and they were just ready when I com- mitted. They showed a lot of enthusi- asm, with Coach Nussmeier jumping all over the field. It was a good feel- ing, and that was good to see." With a commitment out of the way, Weber will focus on putting together yet another strong season for Cass Tech. The Technicians won the 2011 and 2012 state titles in Division 1, Michigan's largest, but fell in the semifinals to Detroit Catholic Cen- tral last year. His focus for this fall is clear. "Win the state championship," We- ber said. "I might have goals on the side, but they're all to reach that main one: win a state championship in my last year of high school." — Tim Sullivan 1-800-421-7751 • www.thewolverineondemand.com Michigan StadiuM Item #1354: MI vs. ND (Sept. 7, 2013) Panoramic Print Unframed print — $30 ea. + $12 S&H • Standard framed print — $89 ea. + $16 S&H Deluxe framed print — $199 ea. + FREE SHIPPING
