quarterbacks and turned its attention
to the class of 2016. Thousand Oaks
(Calif.) Westlake quarterback Malik
Henry is the top target at the position.
The 6‑3, 180‑pound prospect first
visited South Bend June 20 for the
Irish Invasion camp, but didn't get
to see what game day is like at Notre
Dame until the matchup against the
Wolverines.
"I liked it, and it was a cool
experience," the junior signal‑caller
said. "I was really into everything. The
atmosphere was crazy. It'd give it a 10.
The team played very well and had a
great game. It was fun to watch."
While on campus, Henry got to
spend a great deal of time with his
primary recruiter, quarterbacks coach
Matt LaFleur. The two talked before
the game for a few hours, on the field
just prior to kickoff and then following
the victory.
"We get along great," Henry said of
his relationship with LaFleur. "Him
coming from the NFL is a plus. He
really knows what he's doing. Being
able to work with him is a good
opportunity for me."
