FOOTBALL RECRUITING to handle two high‑profile prospects on campus at the same time, especially when they play the same position. That wasn't an issue for Notre Dame when they got Henry and Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist Academy four‑star quarterback Shea Patterson on campus. The 6‑2, 195‑pound P a t t e r s o n v i s i t e d South Bend with his father, and the junior standout left feeling like a top priority to the Notre Dame coaching staff. "It was awesome," the 2016 recruit said. "I got there the day before the game since we played Thursday. We toured the football office on Saturday and got to talk with Coach [Brian] Kelly, Coach LaFleur and [offensive coordinator Mike] Denbrock. That was great. They were incredibly welcoming and really made me feel like I was their guy. "This trip had the whole package. I'd rate it a 10. It was perfect. I really loved the walk that we went on before the game. It's crazy how many people knew who I was and were telling me to go to Notre Dame. They were so passionate. It was pretty wild. "I was with Coach LaFleur for about 15 minutes. We broke down the Michigan film and he told me what they wanted to do to Michigan that night. They pretty much did everything they wanted during the game. I saw it unfold. It was pretty cool to see that and watch the offense click like that. It was a good start to our relationship."
