ROBINSON ISLAND Sophomore wide receiver Corey Robinson led Notre Dame in recep- tions against Syracuse with eight for 91 yards, but through the first three quarters versus Stanford, he had not been targeted by senior signal-caller Everett Golson even once. In the fourth quarter, however, Golson looked to- ward him seven times, including four attempts on the game-winning drive. "I was just waiting for an opportu- nity to be successful out there," said Robinson, who finished with four catches for 46 yards. The Irish used the same basic for- mation throughout the final drive — sophomore wide receiver Will Fuller, senior slot receiver Amir Carlisle and senior tight end Ben Koyack split out on the field side of the line of scrim- mage, from sideline to midfield, and Robinson lined up on his own on the boundary side.
