PREP PROFILES It's hard to find a more explosive, dynamic wide receiver in the class of 2016 than Devin Duvernay of Sachse (Texas) High School. The 5-11, 185-pounder has already picked up offers from Alabama, Bay- lor, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas, among others. In March, the four- star recruit added an offer from Notre Dame. "It's pretty b ig t i m e , " D u v e r n a y s a i d . " [ D e f e n s i v e backs coach Kerry] Cooks let my coach know I had the of- fer when he came by the school.We talked a little later that night, and he's real cool. He seems like a pretty good guy. We didn't talk long, but we're going to keep in touch. " H e w a s t e l l - ing me that my explosiveness is un- matched, and he said I'm a playmaker. He said that he wants me at Notre Dame, that it's the place to be, and he said all the Texas guys are looking at Notre Dame. He wants me to come out at the end of the season for a visit with my parents, and I'm going to try to get out there." Duvernay is beginning to narrow down his list of suitors. He continues to add new offers, but there are a few schools beginning to separate from the pack. "I don't have any- one standing out right now," Duver- nay said. "This is all so new to me. Every- thing is just moving fast right now. It's just a blessing. "I do appreciate all the attention from Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M, Okla- homa, Baylor and a few others. They are recruiting me a little harder than the rest, but I still wouldn't say I have a leader." Notre Dame is off to a hot start, and like many of the na- tion's top prospects, it has grabbed Du- vernay's attention. "The offense is crazy," Duvernay said of the Irish. "They pass the ball all over the field, and a lot of receivers get involved. "It's definitely something to watch.
