When asked if his semi-opti- mistic post meant he had returned to the team, Russell quickly clarified his remarks. "Noooo, still not back. It sucks. Hearing went well in my opinion though," he wrote. "Was able to express my case from my POV [point of view] and bring to light alot of what was false 'evidence.' But they are making me wait till every hearing is done to make a decision … it sucks." The need to wait on further hearings points to both the other four play- ers and possibly other students involved in the controversy. As Russell took to the speed of so- cial media to gripe about the process, Daniels took to the wide reach of na- tional media. ESPN. com published an article Sept. 26 featuring mul- tiple snippets from the receiver, including him expressing the investiga- tion has left him feeling "like a villain." "If they had enough evidence, you'd think it'd be over by now," Daniels told ESPN.com. "Nothing should take this long. That's just my opinion.
