mits in Monroe (La.) Wossman safety Cameron Lewis (LSU) and Lexington (Ky.) Henry Clay cornerback Davonte Robinson (Kentucky). Rivals.com lists Lewis as a four-star talent, the No. 16 recruit in Louisiana, and the No. 19 athlete and No. 215 overall prospect in the country. Robinson is rated as a three-star recruit. Then there's Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) High three-star safety Devin Studstill (No. 51 player in Florida and No. 48 athlete in the land) and New Orleans Brother Martin three-star tight end Irvin Smith (No. 22 player in Loui- siana and No. 13 tight end nationally). Smith is the son of former Notre Dame tight end Irv Smith (1989-92), who was also a first-round pick of the New Or- leans Saints. Admiral Far- ragut Academy four-star safety Craig Watts (No. 37 player in Florida). While all three of those prospects could become the instant "big name" on campus given the needs at both safety and defensive end this recruit- ing cycle, the prospect that will likely get the VIP treatment, regardless of who's in attendance, is Kelly. The 6-3, 215-pound linebacker has been a priority for the staff ever since he was offered a scholarship last April, and that's why Irish associate head coach Mike Denbrock was in Fresno, Calif., to see him work out in early May. Denbrock was there to let Kelly Rivals.com rates Fresno (Calif.) West's Caleb Kelly — one of the headliners expected to be in atten- dance for the invite-only Irish Invasion camp June 19 — as a five-star prospect, the No. 1 player in California, and the No. 2 outside linebacker and No. 12 overall recruit in the class of 2016.
