our own," head coach Brian Kelly said.
"And so I don't know, I hear what they
say, this is like what, the 15th-rated or
18th-rated class, or I don't know what
they are saying about it.
"But these are guys that we believe
can help us win a championship and
that's how we recruit in terms of look-
ing at our guys. And they are guys that
fit here at Notre Dame. So that's the
lens that we recruit through. I feel like
in the areas that we needed to address
and build our program, we are doing
that to win a national championship."
Father Hesburgh's Passing
On Feb. 26, former Notre Dame
president Rev. Theodore M. Hes-
burgh passed away at the age of 97.
The iconic figure served as university
president from 1952-87, and is consid-
ered one of the most important figures
in school history.
