otre Dame offensive line pledge
Parker Boudreaux was never guar-
anteed a spot at The Opening.
He thought there was a chance he
could earn a ticket to the invite-only
event, which brought together 166
of the best athletes from around the
country for a three-day competition at
NIKE's World Headquarters outside
of Portland this summer, but he knew
it was a slim one.
When the call came on May 11, Bou-
dreaux was surprised to learn that
he had an invitation to The Opening,
but he wasn't unprepared. Boudreaux
had been training the past few months
with renowned performance coach
Tom Shaw, who had the Bishop Moore
offensive tackle ready for what lied
ahead.
The Orlando, Fla., native, who is
considered a four-star talent and the
No. 25 offensive tackle nationally by
Rivals.com, posted a Nike Football
Rating of 112.62 in a test of overall ath-
letic ability. It's believed to be the high-
