BASKETBALL RECRUITING THE IRISH PRIORITIZE FORWARD JAVIN DELAURIER Allen might be the high- est ranked big man on the recruiting board, but Charlottesville (Va.) St. Anne's-Belfield four-star forward Javin DeLaurier received the most atten- tion from Notre Dame's staff. At least one repre- sentative from the Irish was in the stands for each of his four games, with Brey at three tilts. Solomon was even spot- ted at the Nike Peach Jam on Friday morning in North Augusta, S.C. — a two-and-a-half hour drive from the adidas event — but drove back to Atlanta that afternoon to watch DeLaurier again. The for- ward also played at Big Shots in Myrtle Beach, S.C., after the adidas tour- nament, and Brey again made his way there to scout the prospect. "Coach Solomon, he's a Virginia guy, so when- ever he texts me he's al- ways like 'We've got to get another Virginia guy out here to South Bend,'" De- Laurier said. "They're great.
