FOOTBALL RECRUITING ficial visit Oct. 10, and shut down the remainder of his recruitment. Viramontes committed to Michi- gan June 15 without ever having seen campus in Ann Arbor. He earned his U-M offer at the Wolverines' Northern California summer camp in Fresno, and committed just a couple days later. The 6-0, 214-pounder is rated as a three-star recruit, the No. 52 senior in the Golden State and the No. 18 dual-threat quarterback nationally by Rivals.com. His first trip to U-M came for the 35-7 victory over the Beavers. UNLV — SEPT. 19 Although the following week's op- ponent wasn't as exciting — Moun- tain West program UNLV — the Wolverines still welcomed in one of the most important official visitors of the fall, Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West linebacker Caleb Kelly. Fellow official visitor Keyshon Camp, a three-star defensive tackle from Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson, may not have five stars next to his name like Kelly does, but he plays a position of need in the class. Rivals.com lists Kelly as the No. 2 senior in California, and the No. 5 outside linebacker and No. 17 overall prospect nationally. He has trimmed and re-expanded his list on numerous occasions, but time and again, Michi- gan remains near the top for the 6-3, 214-pounder. His trip to Ann Arbor helped keep that the case. "I flew red-eye, and that morning we went to the hotel and hung out there for a couple hours," Kelly said. "Then we went to the pregame there and watched the game. That was the most people I think I've ever seen. It was crazy with all those fans." Kelly has also taken a visit to Or- egon (Oct. 9), and will see Oklahoma Nov. 20 and Notre Dame Dec. 11. Ohio State, Stanford, Texas and USC are all vying for his fifth and final of- ficial visit. The 6-3, 274-pound Camp is listed as a three-star prospect, the No. 72 se- nior in Florida and the No. 31 defen- sive tackle nationally by Rivals.com. He played with current U-M fresh- man Reuben Jones at Lake Gibson during the 2014 season and was re- united with him on the trip. However, the current USC commitment plans to stick with the Trojans, despite his plan to take all five official visits. "USC, I think it's still the school for me because right now, they're play- ing with 19 freshmen," he said. "I feel like they're a school where, it doesn't matter about seniority. I feel like if the underclassmen are better then the seniors, that they'll put them in before the seniors. That's why I want to go to that school." The Wolverines took down the Reb- els 28-7, and although both defensive prospects enjoyed their time, it's clear that only one — Kelly — plans to con- tinue seriously considering a U-M pledge. BRIGHAM YOUNG — SEPT. 26 The Wolverines' non-conference clash against BYU was one of the headliners of the schedule coming into the season, and although the
