COMMITMENT PROFILE get them those tough yards they're looking for and he fits into the system. "They see something that really like in him." Opposing defenders have seen plenty they don't like this fall. Taylor has led his team to a 6-1 record, car- rying the ball 109 times for 729 yards (6.7 yards per carry) with 10 total touchdowns. He's also caught seven passes for 94 yards (13.4 per recep- tion), though he hasn't found pay dirt through the air. According to Wommack, the com- mitment is big in itself, but it could also help the Maize and Blue tap into one of the nation's top states when it comes to producing football talent: Georgia. "He's often seen [on unofficial visits] with other recruits so maybe it helps them from a relation- ship perspective." Harbaugh and his staff had made a movement toward recruiting on a national scale after a four-year period under Brady Hoke of the Maize and Blue locking down the Midwest be- fore expanding outward. Defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin was the area recruiter in Georgia dur- ing his time with the University of Florida, and although he wasn't as involved in Taylor 's recruitment — that was handled almost exclusively by Harbaugh himself — he has the opportunity to capitalize on some Peach State momentum after Taylor's pledge. — Tim Sullivan
