  MICHIGAN FOOTBALL Darboh, Glasgow, Rudock and junior tailback De'Veon Smith. Rudock also was designated as Michigan's Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree. On the defensive side of the foot- ball, redshirt freshman safety Jabrill Peppers wound up as the Thompson- Randle El Freshman of the Year. Pep- pers, along with junior cornerback Jourdan Lewis, earned first-team All- Big Ten honors from the coaches and media, with Peppers named to the second team as a return specialist by the coaches. Lewis and Peppers are ranked fourth and fifth on the team with 49 and 45 tackles, respectively. Lewis secured a pair of interceptions and broke up 19 passes on his way to All- America honors. Peppers recorded 5.5 tackles for loss and 10 passes bro- ken up, as well as an 11.4-yard aver- age on 17 punt returns and a 27.9- yard average on eight kickoff returns. The coaches also selected redshirt junior defensive end Chris Worm- ley to the All-Big Ten third team, and gave honorable mention to redshirt junior placekicker Kenny Allen, senior linebacker Joe Bolden, redshirt junior nose tackle Ryan Glasgow, redshirt junior defensive tackle Willie Henry, fifth-year senior linebacker Desmond Morgan, fifth- year senior graduate transfer punter Blake O'Neill and senior safety Jar- rod Wilson. Allen garnered third-team All-Big Ten honors from the media. Bolden, Glasgow, Henry, fifth-year senior linebacker Royce Jenkins-Stone, Mor- gan, O'Neill and Wormley earned honorable mention, and so did Pep- pers and Lewis as return specialists. JAKE BUTT WILL RETURN FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON IN 2016 Junior tight end Jake Butt had Michigan fans on edge Dec. 7, pub- licly pondering a jump to the NFL, pending a heart-to-heart conversa- tion with head coach Jim Harbaugh. A day later, he tweeted out news that brought a cheer throughout Michi- gan's following everywhere. "My heart and soul is with Michi- gan, and I'm excited to return for my senior year and play for the most historic university and the greatest coaches in college football," Butt of- fered. "And to go into battle another year with my friends and teammates.
