"Hall is an athletic offensive tackle
prospect," Helmholdt said. "I like a
lot of things about Ja'Raymond. He's
got great feet and a good ability to
kick out and handle speed rushers
off of the edge.
"Hall is raw, but he's improving
and developing. He doesn't have any
weaknesses that aren't correctable.
Like most offensive linemen coming
out of high school, Hall will benefit
greatly from strength and technique
coaches in college."
As the fourth member of Michi-
gan's 2017 recruiting class, Hall now
turns his attention to bringing other
talent with him. One obvious tar-
get is his teammate, 2018 offensive
guard Marquan McCall. The 6-3,
323-pounder is like a little brother
to Hall, but won't be pressured to
choose the Wolverines. Other in-state
juniors with Michigan offers make
up the Pipeline Nine and will also be
on Hall's target list.
"I want Marquan to go wher-
ever he feels comfortable," Hall ex-
plained. "If Michigan ends up being
that place, I'd be glad to have him.
"I'm definitely going to be recruit-
ing other guys, too. I'm going to try
and build the class, some of the Pipe-
line Nine guys. … I'm confident I can
get them."
As a junior, Hall was a member of
The Detroit News All-State First Team
for Division 1-2. Oak Park finished
just 5-6 and were eliminated in the
first round of the playoffs, but Hall
and McCall anchor a solid offensive
line that looks to be better in 2016.
