DYLAN LARKIN NAMED
ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan
Larkin was named the NHL's Rookie
of the Month for November after
leading all first-year players with
seven goals. The former Wolverine
added three assists in 13 games dur-
ing the month, and led all NHL rook-
ies with 10 goals and a plus-14 rating
as of Dec. 9.
He was also tied for the NHL lead
with 10 even-strength goals.
"It's good to get recognized by
the league," Larkin told DetroitRed-
Wings.com. "It's cool to win indi-
vidual honors, but I'm just happy
that we had a pretty good month as a
team. I was just happy to contribute."
Larkin's month included a four-
game goal-scoring streak, the longest
for a Red Wings teenager since Steve
Yzerman had a pair of four-game
goal-scoring streaks in 1984-85.
