ing good advice, whether it involves technique for other offensive linemen or resolve when it involves a sibling's physical setback. The fifth-year senior urged his younger brother to have an outstanding fifth year of his own in 2016. "I tell him he had a great season," Glasgow said. "We're taking it week by week. He's going to come back next year, stronger and better, ready to play again. Fight another day." Glasgow knows all about that. He fought, and overcame, becoming a leader for Harbaugh's first crew in Ann Arbor. ❏ Michigan Will Look At Center Options Graham Glasgow stepped in to play center for the Wolverines this season, moving from a guard spot in 2014 to fill the vacancy of former pivot Jack Miller. Now, Glasgow's impending departure opens up a spot that U-M needs to fill with someone capable for 2016. Miller hung up his cleats with a year of eligibility remaining, opening the door for Glasgow to become Michigan's tip of the offensive spear in Jim Harbaugh's first season as head coach. Glasgow's succes- sor isn't necessarily the player next up on the U-M depth chart. That would be redshirt sophomore Patrick Kugler, who checks in at 6-5 and 297 pounds. Kugler has seen limited ac- tion with the Wolverines after coming from Wexford, Pa., to Ann Arbor three years ago. Injuries slowed him along the way, but he's worked his way into greater strength and health, and has now expe- rienced close to a year in Jim Harbaugh's system. Presently third on the Michigan depth chart at center is redshirt junior walk-on Ben Pliska, who is 6-3, 283. But when Glasgow was out during the 2015 spring practices, neither of the listed backups took most of the snaps at center. The Wolverines slid 6-5, 305-pound sophomore Mason Cole — who has started at left tackle the past two seasons — into the center spot. Cole is ca- pable of making that move in 2016, and whether he does or not likely depends on the development of Kugler or another Wolverine who might be ready to challenge at the position. Redshirt sophomore Patrick Kugler is second on the depth chart at center, but he will have to earn the starting job next season. PHOTO BY PER KJELDSEN
