senior year was big in a lot of ways. Physically, I made a jump and also mentally, really believing I was good enough." He turned out to be the best player on his team as a senior. Robinson in- sists that, looking back, he still wasn't that good. He just cared more and possessed a little more talent than his teammates. None of the big boys came knock- ing. For that matter, none of the little boys in the big-boy division did, either. "He grew late and decided to go to Exeter [Phillips Exeter Academy, in New Hampshire] for prep school," Beilein said. "He kept growing more. He's the type of kid you see that's all over the Patriot League and the Ivys. Somebody finds them, and they end up grooming them." Robinson scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the 58-47 championship game win over Choate Rosemary Hall, earning tournament MVP honors. "Coach Tilton was the first person to ever tell me, 'I think you have a chance to play in the Ivy League,'" Robinson recalled. "I didn't really think that was possi- ble.
