FOOTBALL RECRUITING when Stritzinger had mostly been talking to Mid‑American Conference schools, and that gives the Wolverines an early advantage. Maintaining that lead will rely upon the Maize and Blue continuing to prioritize Stritzinger. If he makes an early decision, they should be tough to beat for him. Corey Bolds • Defensive Tackle 6‑3, 280 • Paramus Catholic, Paramus, N.J. No. 8 player in New Jersey and No. 25 DT nationally Bolds played alongside U‑M signee Rashan Gary last year, and while he doesn't have the same natural strength or quickness, he's shown that he's a good prospect in his own right. He has the size to grow into a true defensive tackle, but could also keep weight off and stay on the edge as a strongside end. Like his teammate Singleton, Bolds likes both Michigan and Clemson. While he's not as high on the Michigan board, the Wolverines' same connections could help them reel him in down the road, especially if the duo wants to play together at the next level. Tedarrell Slaton • Offensive Tackle 6‑6, 339 • American Heritage School, Plantation, Fla. No. 11 player in Florida, and No. 7 OT and No. 47 overall prospect nationally Slaton is one of the biggest offensive linemen in the country, and is a true mauler at the tackle position. He also has very good feet for his size, and though he'll never be considered a true blindside protector, is a plus player in pass protection as well. Slaton previously named Michigan his favorite, and though he's backed off that a bit, U‑M is still high on his list. The Maize and Blue signed his teammate and good friend, tight end Nick Eubanks, in the 2016 class, and will continue to pursue several players at American Heritage in 2017 and beyond. Jimmy Jaggers • Tight End 6‑4, 230 • Roseville High School, Roseville, Calif. No. 22 player in California, and No. 4 tight end and No. 171 prospect overall nationally Michigan already has one tight end in the fold in Carter Dunaway, but Jim Harbaugh is always looking for talent at the position. Jaggers is a well‑rounded prospect, equally comfortable blocking and going out on pass routes. Stanford was the early dream schools for the Northern California native, but the Cardinal already have two commitments at the position, and may never offer. That
