Holmes caught 25 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns on offense, and notched 25 tackles (13 solo), an interception and three passes broken up on defense. Cornerback Da'Wan Hunte Miami Central High Hunte (5-10, 180) confirmed with The Wolfpacker that he remained firmly committed to NC State. The three-star recruit has helped Central reach the 6-A state title game with an 11-2 record. Wide receiver Jalen McDaniel Fayetteville (N.C.) Jack Britt High Although McDaniel allowed himself to think "a little bit" about considering other options, he has decided to remain firm with the Wolfpack. "I'm still NC State," McDaniel said. The 6-2, 190-pounder helped Jack Britt reach the 4-AA state title game and finish the season with a 13-3 overall record. McDaniel caught 45 passes for 827 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games. He also rushed 16 times for 198 yards and two scores. Rivals.com lists McDaniel as a three-star recruit, the No. 23 player in North Carolina and the No. 95 wide receiver in the country. Athlete Pharoah McKever Tabor City (N.C.) South Columbus High According to South Columbus head coach Jake Fonvielle, McKever has remained solid with NC State. "Once they put out a statement they were going to honor all the commitments, he decided he'd stick with NC State," Fonvielle told the Fayetteville Observer. "He really likes Coach O'Brien, and it was a shock when he was fired. But I think Pharoah was committed to the school, not just the head coach." The 6-6, 210-pound McKever could play a number of positions in college. He threw for 1,015 yards and 13 touchdowns and added 14 rushing scores as a quarterback for South Columbus. He also played safety for the Stallions, who finished the season 12-3 and reached the semifinals of the 2-AA state playoffs. Rivals.com rates McKever as a three-star recruit and the No. 29 player in North Carolina.
