The 6-9, 215-pound Washington had a whirlwind recruitment, eventually picking NCSU over Ohio State, Iowa State and Washington Sept. 23 during his one and only official visit. The lefty can play both power forward and center. Washington attended Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Conn., last year and averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks per game. He made the move to star-studded Brewster Academy for his post-graduate season. "Kyle is a big kid that keeps getting better and better," Gottfried said. "Every time you turn around, he looks better.
