Rivals.com rates him as a three-star re- cruit, the No. 28 prospect in North Carolina and the No. 33 inside linebacker in the nation. 13. DONAVON GREENE, WR Mount Airy High Greene has the physical traits to be a playmaking receiver. He has good size at 6-3, 185 pounds and is a good performer in track. During his sophomore year, he finished sixth at the 1-A state championship in the 200-meter dash (22.80 seconds), fourth in the high jump (6-4) and eighth in the long jump (20-7.5). As a junior in basketball, he averaged 15.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Football, though, is his future. Last sea- son, he caught 46 passes for 1,138 yards and 16 touchdowns, while also posting 50 tackles and seven picks for Mt. Airy, which went 14-1 last season. After originally committing to Duke, Greene switched his pledge to Wake Forest in June. Rivals.com rates him as a four-star talent, the No. 13 prospect in North Carolina and the No. 40 wide receiver in the nation. 14. ZONOVAN KNIGHT, RB Middlesex Southern Nash Knight rushed 142 times for 1,877 yards and 27 touchdowns as a junior for Southern Nash, which went 12-2. The speedster who also ran on the Southern Nash relay teams that made it to the state 3-A championships in the 4x100 and 4x200 meters. He is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 20 player in the state and the No. 27 running back nationally by Rivals.com. Knight originally committed to Duke in March, but he opened up his recruitment in May and NC State emerged as a leader in June. 15. KHAFRE BROWN, WR Charlotte West Mecklenburg The speedy Brown was timed at 10.76 seconds in the 100-meter dash at the 4-A West Regional this year, an event he won along with the 200 meters in a time of 21.93 seconds.
