152 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING where he was second in the 200. That year he was fourth in the 4-A state championship in the 100 and second in the 200. Injuries, though, have limited the 6-1, 170-pound Brown in football. He only played in six games last year, catching 19 passes for 212 yards and two scores. Nev- ertheless, you cannot teach speed, and a healthy Brown has plenty of it. His top four schools are Georgia, Michi- gan, North Carolina and Tennessee. His older brother Dyami Brown signed with UNC in the 2018 class. Rivals.com lists him as a four-star prospect, the No. 12 player in the state and the No. 38 wide receiver in the country. 16. KHALID MARTIN, S Kernersville East Forsyth T h e 6 - 1 , 1 9 5 - p o u n d Martin has been on the ra- dar of many colleges since he was a freshman at East Forsyth. During that year, he recorded 64 tackles, four interceptions, four passes broken up and two forced fumbles while playing on the varsity squad. Last fall, he posted 77 tackles, four picks and seven passes broken up. Impressively, Martin returned three of those interceptions for touchdowns. NC State and Virginia Tech are believed to be Martin's top two schools. Rivals.com lists him as a three-star recruit, the No. 32 prospect in North Carolina and the No. 49 safety nationally. 17. JADEN MCKENZIE, DL Wake Forest High McKenzie is a bit of a tweener, lining up at de- fensive end for Wake For- est High, the two-time de- fending 4-AA state champ. However, he is likely to fill out his 6-3, 280-pound frame and end up as a three-technique de- fensive tackle. He was a dominant force for Wake Forest last year, posting 97 tackles, 23 tackles for loss and nine sacks. Rivals.com rates McKenzie as a three- star recruit. In late June, Ohio State joined an offer list that also included, among oth- ers, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ten- nessee, Virginia, Wake Forest, West Vir- ginia and Wisconsin. 18. TYUS FIELDS, CB Cornelius Hough High Fields, like Martin, has been a known commodity since he was a freshman that registered 31 tackles and an interception in 10 games on varsity.
