156 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ BASKETBALL RECRUITING play this spring has created more suitors. Williams is up to 26 scholarship offers, including 11 since April 18. "I was impressed by Coach Keatts this season," Williams said. "Everybody was saying Coach Keatts could do it. To see him actually do it is impressive." Williams, who attended NC State's 92‑72 win over Florida State Feb. 25, ap‑ preciates the recruiting attention he has received from Keatts. "They've been on me real heavy," he said. "The coaches have been telling me how much of a priority I am to them. "It was good to see them play. I had a lot of fun." Williams knows the Wolfpack want him to be the centerpiece of a much smaller group of newcomers after bringing in 10 this past cycle. "I'm grateful toward NC State," Wil‑ liams said. "Scholarships could go to any‑ body, so for them to give it to me, is a big deal." Rivals.com ranks the 6‑6, 185‑pound Williams as a four‑star recruit and the No. 74 overall prospect in the country. He was averaging 13.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for 8‑8 Team United as of late June. He set his goal to help Team United reach the Nike Peach Jam 17s division, and he achieved it. Williams has a textbook jump shot with range well past the three‑point line. He was shooting 41.7 percent (20 of 48) on three‑ pointers through 15 EYBL games. "I'm working on being more consistent," he said. "It is just taking good shots. If it's a good shot, nine times out of 10, it's go‑ ing down." Gary Expects To Officially Visit NC State Gary has been impressed with NC State's recruiting pitch and plans to officially visit the Wolfpack at some point. On May 18, he narrowed his list to NC State, South Caro‑ lina, Clemson, Virginia Tech and Alabama. The 6‑5, 200‑pounder has unofficially visited NC State in the past, and is looking forward to learning more about the Wolf‑ pack program and Keatts. "I like the way the coaches have made me a priority," Gary said. "Coach Keatts isn't making any promises or anything. It would be a good fit for me and for my family. "I plan to officially visit NC State this summer, maybe in August." NC State evaluated Gary during the spring and summer of 2017, and assis‑ tant coach Takayo Siddle visited his high school and offered on Sept. 26, 2017. www.systemscontractors.com Since 1977, Systems Contractors, Inc. has provided Industrial & Commercial HVAC Services throughout the Southeast.
