The Irish boast a 28-7 record in November and December regularseason games since Longo and head coach Brian Kelly arrived in South Bend. photo by joe raymond I dont know how many position changes there have been at Notre Dame, but thats something indicative of Paul everywhere hes been. You look at what he did at Iowa, and he wasnt even a head guy yet, thats something they did a lot there. Its something they did a lot at Central Michigan and Cincinnati. Hes always looking to put guys in the best position possible. I wouldnt be in the NFL today if it werent for [Kelly] and Coach Longo. Kelce admits not every player received the same individual attention as he did, but not every player was starting from scratch. I was sort of his project, Kelce explained. Paul is not a shortsighted individual. Anything he does with somebody has an overall picture. I spent a lot of time with Paul and he spent a lot of time examining the way I did things. He made it his mission early on at Cincinnati to convert me from a linebacker to an offensive lineman. With me it was a long-term vision.
