hat would have
been significant, though
football-specific, media interest in
Manti Te���o at the 2013
NFL Scouting Combine
in Indianapolis Feb.��20-26
��� before the captivating
saga of a fake girlfriend
that died last September
and was resurrected in
December ��� turned out
to be a frenzy of curiosity after the twisted work
of fiction was finally
straightened out.
Through exclusive interviews with ESPN and
ABC, Te���o told his side
of an unbelievable story,
one where he was the
victim of a now-welldocumented hoax. Until
the combine, however, he
hadn���t had to deal with
