  inside michigan athletics Maize And Blue Notebook Back For One More • Senior gymnast Syque Caesar has been granted a rare sixth year of eligibility. The Port St. Lucie, Fla., native competed in only three events in 2012 before a torn biceps forced season-ending surgery. Caesar is a two-time Big Ten champion on the parallel bars (2011 and 2013) and was a threetime All-American this past year, earning the nods on floor, parallel bars and high bar in helping lead Michigan to the team national title. Hockey News • Hockey coach Red Berenson was inducted into the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame July 27. The Regina native was an AllAmerican during his U-M career from 1959-62 and became the first collegiate player to jump from the college ranks directly into the NHL. He won a Stanley Cup with Montreal in 1965. In 17 seasons, he scored 261 goals and had 391 assists playing with the Canadiens, St. Louis Blues and Detroit Red Wings. After a brief stint coaching the Blues, he returned to Ann Arbor and has led the Wolverines since 1984, ranking fifth all time in NCAA history with 770 victories.
