UNDER THE DOME $150,000 Fee owed by Notre Dame to the Uni‑ versity of Texas, as first reported by FBSched‑ ules.com, for the cancellation of the tenta‑ tively scheduled 2019‑20 games between the two schools. The addition of the University of Georgia to Notre Dame's schedule in 2017 and 2019 set those wheels in motion. Notre Dame and Texas had an original four‑year scheduling agree‑ ment. Next season's meeting still will be played on Sept. 5, 2015, in South Bend, Ind., and Texas will host Notre Dame on Sept. 3, 2016. $4.6 Million dollars former Notre Dame head c o a c h C H A R L I E WEIS (2005‑09) is expected to make in 2015 to not coach. The University of Kansas fired Weis Sept. 28 following a 23‑0 loss to Texas that dropped his career record with the Jayhawks to 6‑22. Per USA Today's Steve Berkowitz, Weis is still projected to receive $2.5 million from Kansas in 2015 for the duration of his contract and approximately $2.1 million in severance from Notre Dame through Decem‑ ber 2015. Weis reportedly received an initial payment of $6,638,403 after his December 2009 firing from Notre Dame, and his buy‑ out money from the school would total $18,966,867. PHOTO BY PER KJELDEN
