ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION?

are defined by his actions rather than
what he says.
Reading and hearing from a dear
friend on the Irish campus, I under-
stand that Everett Golson gave every
indication that he was returning to the
team, thus "forcing" Coach Kelly to
divide snaps between him and Malik
Zaire. All the while, I and others be-
lieve he knew all along that he wasn't
returning to the Notre Dame gridiron.
Frankly, I think we can do without
his arrogance and self-serving actions.
Malik offers an added dimension to
the Irish attack, mainly the ability to
run the option, a facet that should
