2015-16 BASKETBALL PREVIEW now, and you can just see his body is stable," Jordan said. "That's ex- citing. When he got here, his body was young and maturing. Now with that full summer investment in the weight room, you can see it." LeVert's marching orders focus on teaming with Albrecht to take charge of this team. "He's got to be a leader," Jordan in- sisted. "His production on the court is consistent — everybody knows what he can do. But he and Spike have got to be vocal leaders and pull guys along, show them the ropes and keep everybody accountable. "Caris can make shots, make others better and he rebounds the ball. He's committed to being a better defender and being able to help others be bet- ter defenders. That's one of the areas we know we need to improve as a team. He's really focused on that." Meyer concurred, adding: "He's always been a really good shooter, but he's a very confident shooter right now from the perimeter. We're excited about continuing to see his growth, using ball screens and read- ing options in front of him, as the defense schemes against him. "His approach right now is very focused, very mature. He's not just about his own development. That's important, but he's determined to help these aspiring players. That's been significant. His approach is to lead this team. His vision is to put this team back into a place where we compete for championships in Junior Zak Irvin, who shared Michigan's MVP award after averaging 14.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest last year, underwent a back procedure prior to fall practice, but is expected to return to the court by the start of the regular season.
