Chesson garnered the Bo Schem- bechler Most Valuable Player Award, beating out several other possibili- ties for the top distinction on the team. "It's really an honor to be part of this team, a part of the University of Michigan," Chesson said. "I've been humbled and blessed to be around great people on a daily basis." The fourth-year wideout, who re- cently earned first-team All-Big Ten honors by the conference coaches, paced the team with 11 total touch- downs, including eight receiving, two rushing and one on a kickoff return. He caught 45 passes for 646 yards and eight scores. His eight touchdown catches all occurred against Big Ten opponents. He earned the league's Offensive Player of the Week honor for his four- TD performance against Indiana. He also proved an inspirational leader among his teammates and was the subject of frequent praise from Mich- igan's coaching staff. Chesson spoke about some of what he's learned at Michigan.
