"I committed to Coach Mattison and Coach Hoke," Bolden said. "They're men of integrity. Without Coach Mattison coaching our defense and being the defensive coordinator when I committed here, I wouldn't have come. "It's a real privilege to start my career under Coach Mattison and an even bigger one to end it with him." • Fifth-year senior linebacker Des- mond Morgan captured the Roger Zatkoff Award as Michigan's most outstanding linebacker. Morgan notched 67 tackles on the season and also recorded a sack, an interception and one forced fumble. "I remember coming in as a fresh- man and seeing that award up there, with all the names that are recipients of it and the other awards," Morgan said. "To be able to be put my name on that award with those guys is a phenomenal feeling and a tremen- dous honor." • Redshirt junior defensive end Chris Wormley and redshirt junior defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow shared the Richard "Dick" Katcher Award, given each year to the Wol- verines' most outstanding defensive lineman or outside linebacker. Wormley made 39 tackles on the year, including a team-leading 12 for loss, with 5.5 sacks. Glasgow pro- vided a strong presence (25 tackles, five TFLs and a sack) at nose tackle, prior to going out of the lineup with a pectoral muscle injury late in the year. Senior linebacker Joe Bolden led the Wolverines with 76 tackles and earned the Robert P. Ufer Bequest for his "enthusiasm and love" for the University of Michigan. PHOTO BY PER KJELDSEN
