FOOTBALL RECRUITING U-M squarely in the mix. Not far behind Hardman is Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West outside linebacker Caleb Kelly. The 6-3, 214-pounder is listed as the second-best senior in California, and the No. 2 outside line- backer and No. 17 overall prospect nationally. He took an official visit to Michigan for the win over UNLV Sept. 19, and has held the Maize and Blue near the top of his list — along with Oklahoma and Oregon — for the duration of his recruitment. B r a d e n t o n (Fla.) IMG Acad- emy tight end Isaac Nauta is the top player at his position and the No. 18 over- a l l re c ru i t n a - tionally. The 6-4, 235-pounder took an official visit to U-M for the Michigan State game, and has family in the Great Lakes State. His decision — which he hopes to make in time to enroll early at the school he chooses — could come down to whether he want to play close to his parents at Georgia (a boarding student at IMG, he hails from the Atlanta suburbs) or in Har- baugh's tight end-friendly offense. There isn't quite as much excite- ment about four-star prospects, but plenty of them who are Michigan tar- gets will also play in the game. Three of them are serious candidates to wind up wearing the Maize and Blue. Leading that group is a player ac- tually committed to another institu- tion at this time. Los Angeles Loyola defensive back David Long is a 6-0, 170-pounder who picked Stanford over Michigan Aug. 6, but has since made an official visit to Ann Arbor (his first trip to one of his childhood favorites) for the Michigan State game Oct. 17. The No. 17 prospect in California and No. 94 overall player nationally could be a late flip candidate for the Wolverines, who would love to add him. Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita C a t h o l i c w i d e receiver Dylan Crawford is just a few spots behind Long in the Golden State, coming in at No. 19. He's also the No. 25 wide receiver and No. 115 overall prospect in the country, and took his official visit to Michigan for the same game. Michigan and Oregon are his top two schools, and he could announce his decision in San Antonio. Hailing from the opposite coast is Old Tappan (N.J.) High defensive back/athlete Devin Fuller. He is ranked as a four-star talent and the No. 8 prospect in New Jersey — a Decision Dates Not only does Michigan hope to close strong with players who litter the rosters of these all-star games, some of those commitments may come at the games themselves. Here's a quick look at a few who could pull the trigger on national TV.
