He had 43 tackles and two sacks last year. His lengthy offer list includes Florida, Florida State, Michigan, NC State, North Carolina, Penn State, South Carolina, Ten- nessee, Wake Forest and West Virginia. Sandidge has taken multiple unofficial vis- its to NC State. DEFENSIVE BACK JAVON TERRY Wake Forest (N.C.) High Terry had 58 tackles, seven tack- les for loss and two interceptions in 10 games for Wake Forest last year. The 6-2, 185-pounder then ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds at NC State's summer camp to help earn an offer from the Pack. "This will really help my family, and I really appreciate it," Terry said of his first tender. "This offer really shows a lot." He has since received an offer from UNC. WIDE RECEIVER TRE TURNER Greensboro (N.C.) Northwest Guilford High The 6-4, 180-pound two-sport star has accumulated quite an offer list: Duke, Flor- ida, Florida State, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, NC State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Wis- consin, among others. It's no surprise that he is rated as a four- star recruit by Rivals.com, and he also is good enough in basketball to earn Division I looks for the hardwood. On the recruiting trail, NC State is helped by the fact his father, William Turner, is an alum and former player. "I liked NC State when I was growing up," Turner said. "I liked them in basket- ball, and I liked them in football because my dad played there. I like wearing black and red." LINEBACKER PAYTON WILSON Hillsborough (N.C.) Orange County High In five games last season, Wilson (6-4, 220 pounds) piled up 36 tackles, includ- ing 10 for loss and a sack, and broke up one pass. He then impressed enough at a NC State's summer camp in June to land an offer from the Wolfpack. Wilson returned in July for the Alpha Wolf Showcase. Wake Forest and ECU have also offered, and he is getting interest from Duke, North Carolina and Penn State. His older brother Bryse Wilson committed to UNC for base- ball, but signed with the Atlanta Braves after being drafted No. 109 overall.
