Hobbies/interest: Besides Wolfpack football, which they faith- fully attend, likes to attend theater with his wife. Volunteers part- time at the Duke Progress Energy Center in Raleigh. How did you become a Wolfpack fan? "Going to NC State out of high school was a given for me because of the engineering curriculum. I matriculated to State, and obviously became a big State fan from then on. My wife basically became a State fan by marriage." Why did you decide to get involved with the Wolfpack Club? "I came back to Raleigh in the spring in 1966 and moved in with a roommate who knew Warren Carroll, the head of the Wolfpack Club. My roommate said that if you want season football tickets, you can join the Wolfpack Club for $15, and they'll get you 50- yard seats. I joined and sat right on the 50-yard line because not many people were buying tickets in those days. It was the same thing in basketball. Since I was in the Wolfpack Club, I ordered tickets for basketball and for $15, I sat second row, court side." Why should someone that's not a member join the Wolfpack Club? "You have to have a love for NC State to begin with, and if you do it's a great hobby. It's a great way to just be a part of it and keep up with it. It's my major hobby. It's about being a part of so many other people who love NC State." Do you have any favorite game-day traditions? "When I first started going, I drove in and that was about it. Then we got into more tailgating. When my children were of age we would have tailgates of 15 or 20 people. "Now that they have gone off, my wife and I just go, get into the stadium early to eat lunch and watch the team comes out." Who is your favorite all-time student-athlete? "I'd have to say David Thompson, which I would think would be everybody's answer. My favorite football player was probably Philip Rivers." Al Jordan Hometown: Raleigh, N.C.
