MAY 2017 THE WOLVERINE 47   MICHIGAN RECRUITING Michigan had a total of six commits from Georgia. Three-star offensive lineman Jeremy Ciulla inked with the Wolverines in 2004, and four-star run- ning back Carlos Brown and three- star quarterback David Cone signed with U-M in 2006. For a decade, no other Georgia natives headed to Ann Arbor. In 2016, linebacker Elysee Mbem-Bosse signed with U-M, and five-star defensive tackle Aubrey Sol- omon and two-star running back Kurt Taylor did the same this year and will be on campus later this summer. Michigan doesn't seem done quite yet either. Head coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff have offered 25 prospects in the state of Georgia, second only to the 47 offers out to Florida recruits. Texas comes in at third with 23 offered prospects and California next with 15. There are at least five prospects from Georgia who seem to have very legitimate interest in the Wolverines in the 2018 class and, as evidenced by Turner's abrupt commitment, things could always pick up with others. Duluth (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Chris- tian four-star athlete Kyler McMi- chael visited Michigan in October for the Illinois game and has maintained a high level of interest in the Wolver- ines. McMichael shines as a running back in high school, but is considered the No. 18 athlete and No. 225 pros- pect nationally by Rivals. Fitzgerald (Ga.) High three-star dual-threat quarterback James Gra- ham is actually being recruited by Michigan as a running back and is expected to make an April visit, indi- cating that he's got legitimate inter- est in U-M. At 6-1 and 180 pounds, Graham may not quite be the big back counterpart to Turner, but there seems to be mutual interest still. On the flip side, three-star athlete Michael Barrett tips the scales at 200 pounds and is also being looked at as a running back by the Michigan coaching staff. He hails from Valdo- sta (Ga.) Lowndes and is the No. 63 player in the state according to Rivals. Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett three-star offensive guard Warren Er- icson was also in Ann Arbor for the Il- linois game and has been on the radar for a while. At 6-4 and 290 pounds, he is definitely a guard — rated No. 19 at that position nationally by Rivals — which makes him a slightly lower priority than the long, lean tackles U-M is aggressively recruiting. Finally, 6-2 and 182-pound three-star cornerback Tre' Douglas has expressed interest in Michigan and would be a solid compliment to Sims. Rivals' No. 62 player in Georgia hails from McDonough Eagle's Landing Chris- tian and has only been playing football for a few years giving him tremendous upside with a very athletic, long frame. 2019 MICHIGAN TARGETS IN INITIAL RIVALS100 The national team of Rivals ana- lysts released the initial Rivals100 for the 2019 class during the first week of April and several Michigan targets are listed, including a few five-stars. They are not numerically ranked yet, but these will be the players who make up Nos. 1-100 at some point. Here's the list of prospects that hold a Michigan offer: Five-Stars J.T. Daniels, 6-1, 190, pro-style quar- terback, Santa Ana, Calif. (Mater Dei) Christopher Hinton, 6-5, 265, strongside defensive end, Norcross, Ga.
